SFL Summer Learning Challenge: Oceans of Possibilities Winners

Sparta Free Library’s Annual Summer Learning Challenge: Oceans of Possibilities wrapped up after nine weeks of exciting programs, fun events and challenges for adults, teens and children. More than 3,400 participants took part in the 118 interesting opportunities for the community – a Snake, Rattle & Roll presentation, Teen Screens movie events and the Fin-tastic Art Contest for grown-ups are just a few of the events SFL staff planned & presented. The community can participate annually through the online Beanstack program which is easy to access from home, on the run or at the library. Participants kept track of summer activities – both library and community focused to earn badges & win prizes. This year’s grand prize winner took home a terrific mountain bike generously donated by Speed’s Bicycle Shop. Additional local Summer Sponsors included Theisen’s, Kwik Trip, Culvers, Dairy Queen and Friends of Sparta Free Library. Participants earned numerous prizes including books, stickers, and treats and entered to win the thirteen jumbo prizes. Thank you to this year’s participants in SLC: Oceans of Possibilities and to all the generous sponsors who donated prizes!
