All readers are welcome to the library’s new Book Club. The first meeting will be on Tuesday, December 16, 2014 @ 10am in the Magazine Room at the library. During the first meeting, we will discuss the books to read for January – May, 2015. We are aiming for a healthy mix of genres, so please come with your ideas!

Sparta Free Library welcomes Chad Lewis for a FREE presentation! Chad will discuss bizarre newspaper stories from Wisconsin that have not been seen in over 100 years. Filled with strange deaths, ghosts, sea serpents, peculiar people, medical anomalies, oddities, psychic phenomena, and UFOs, this presentation will change the way many view the good ol’ days of Wisconsin!
White Cane Safety Day is an internationally recognized day to celebrate the achievements of those who are blind or visually impaired. The Sparta Low Vision Support Group will be giving demonstrations at the library showing ways people can maintain independence when they are blind or have low vision. Stop by on Wednesday, October 15 between 1:00 – 2:30 p.m. to participate!
